Pricing
A plan is a fixed price that includes the same amount of usage every month. Everything you run counts against it at the same rates on every plan; on a paid plan, extra usage goes on the next invoice. What a plan lets you create - server apps, sizes, databases, always-on, team members - is a separate list of plan limits.
Free includes $1 of usage a month, with no card. A typical site uses about a cent of it. If you ever use it all, server apps pause and your sites stay up. Free never bills you.

Free is the plan formerly called Hobby; its id in the API, the CLI and the MCP server is still hobby.
Every plan includes:
- Unlimited static sites, with bandwidth included up to a fair-use amount per workspace.
- A preview URL for every branch, with no limit on how many. See Preview environments.
- Every kind of app: static sites, server-rendered frontends, APIs and anything with a Dockerfile.

Paying yearly#
Every paid plan can be paid yearly for the price of ten months - two months free:

Included usage still resets every month: a yearly Starter plan includes $19 of usage each month.
What counts as usage#
The rates below are the same on every plan. They are set in the console and shown next to every size and tier when you create a resource.
Containers#
Counted per instance-hour, at one of two rates:
- Scale to zero (the default, a minimum of zero instances): an instance counts only while it runs. An idle app scales to zero and counts nothing, so a month of usage is the time your app actually spent serving.
- Always-on (a minimum of one instance, Starter and up): the instance never scales to zero and counts every hour of the month at the always-on rate, shown here per month with its hourly rate.

Databases#
Counted by the hour for the tier and storage you provision, from create to delete. Tier names are the ones the console shows.

Storage is $0.30 per GB per month, and high availability doubles the compute price. Databases start on Lite, which allows one Dev (shared) database; Starter and up can create as many as they need. See Databases.
Static sites#
Static sites run no instances. They count their build minutes and their storage ($0.02 per GB per month) - about a cent a month for a typical site - which is why a static export costs next to nothing.
Bandwidth is included. Each workspace has a fair-use amount every month, shared by all its sites: 20 GB on Free and 1 TB on every paid plan. Fair use is not a meter and is never charged. If a workspace goes past it, we email first, and a site is only paused after a warning.
