ICE is Light Cloud's open-source visual editor for cloud infrastructure - drag blocks, preview cost, and deploy to your own GCP, AWS, or Azure.
ICE
ICE is Light Cloud's open-source side. It is a visual editor for cloud infrastructure: drag blocks onto a canvas, connect them, preview the cost, and deploy to your own cloud accounts.
ICE and the platform#
They solve different problems and share nothing but a maker:
| Light Cloud platform | ICE | |
|---|---|---|
| Deploys | Your app | Your infrastructure |
| Runs on | Light Cloud's managed infrastructure | Your own GCP, AWS, or Azure accounts |
| You manage | Nothing below the app | The cloud accounts it deploys into |
| License | Hosted service | Apache 2.0, open source |
If you want a URL for your app, you want the platform. If you want to design and provision cloud resources you operate yourself, you want ICE.

Provider support#
GCP is the mature target. AWS and Azure ship the main primitives and are experimental. A few more providers are in preview. See the providers page.
